Talent Associate

The Talent Associate will provide critical support for GHS’s growing New York Office in a number of key HR areas. These include ensuring a seamless and inspiring interview process for all GHS candidates, and owning critical administrative roles that foster employee engagement and build upon our vibrant, mission-driven, and fun culture.

The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships, organizational skills, attention to detail, and writing for a variety of diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources and Administrative Support:
    • Manage onboarding of new employees, including HR data input and quarterly reporting, benefits administration, orientation, IT set up, and payroll for NYC and London offices
    • Perform regular reconciliation and management of Global HR database
    • Maintain and disseminate employee policies and procedures
    • Coordinate GHS Consultant agreements and maintain the GHS consultant database
    • Support other administrative projects as needed
  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Provide support on key outreach and recruitment initiatives
    • Foster and support relationships with university career centers to continue generating interest from the best and brightest future stars
    • Own all operational aspects of GHS interview process, including candidate scheduling, and feedback collection
    • Oversee job postings for all open GHS positions, ensuring that they remain current and are publicized on the most relevant sites and job boards
  • Talent & Employee Engagement:
    • Working with Office Administrator, support the planning and execution of office-wide events and wellness initiatives
    • Coordinate bi-annual performance management process and maintain promotion and compensation databases
    • Support scheduling for GHS career development and training initiatives, as well as regular employee engagement meetings

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:  

The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized and eager to learn core aspects of talent, human resources, and operations in a global, mission-driven organization. S/he must be incredibly detail-oriented, even when juggling many competing priorities, and able to execute on responsibilities quickly and at a high level. S/he must also be a concise, polished writer who can tailor his/her style to suit the needs of different audiences.  Experience in a talent, recruiting, or HR role is preferred, but not required. While no one candidate embodies all the qualifications enumerated below, the ideal candidate will possess many of the following attributes and experiences:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an HR, Talent, or Operations support role at a high-performing, results-oriented organization
  • A natural intellectual curiosity and demonstrated ability to quickly learn new issues (e.g. global health) so that s/he can credibly share our work with prospective candidates and supporters
  • Superior organization and prioritization skills
  • A demonstrable knack for quantitative data management and analysis
  • Ability to operate with discretion when dealing with confidential employee information
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
